Position: Assistant Store Manager

This role is a working management role. Job duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ensure shop and event crews are kept on task and working efficiently
  • Maintain product preparedness, product quality, and inventory control; updating inventory in system when new product arrives
  • Manage front counter/phones/Point of Sale system
    • Take Event and Equipment calls, create quotes, manage reservations and close orders daily
  • Manage shop crew schedule and weekly delivery schedule
  • Provide Team Leads daily with delivery schedule
  • Manage equipment work order status
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment and will-call event orders
  • Oversee shop organization and cleanliness
  • Other duties may include helping shop crew with event set ups and opening and closing the store

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Most work will be done indoors in an office or warehouse setting. Some work areas may not be heated or air-conditioned
  • May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents

EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  •  A high school diploma / GED, degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skills in delegating, follow up, goal setting, planning, leadership building, multi-tasking, and teamwork
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to train and direct activities of subordinates
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary
  • Leadership aptitude, strong motivator, and negotiator

Full time hourly position

40-50 hours in season/30-40 hours off season

401k and healthcare available

Store hours are M-Friday 7:30-5:30pm

Saturday 8:00am-10:00am
